Detoxing Again

I was five months sober when I suffered the loss of my daughter, and I took it as an excuse to drink for two weeks straight. I keep falling off the wagon now, and my detox symptoms seem to get worse each time I don't drink.

Is this a thing, or is it all in my head? I could barely function at work yesterday, and then called out sick today. My employers have been very helpful and understanding through this last year of first rehab, and now this. How long will their patience last?

I’m so sorry for your loss. We’ve all fallen before. I’m glad you’re posting on here. Just do everything you can to get the help you need. Much love and message me anytime.

I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. In the right direction. Keep praying for Jesus to take the wheel! If you need to go to rehab, maybe that is the next right step.

Okay, drop the Jesus garbage right now. I don't waste my time with that.

What's he gonna do? Undo her death?

I’m so sorry for your loss… how are you doing?

Still drinking at this point. Considering a return to rehab, but not quite ready to be better. Grief is like a stone in the gut that just weighs you down, and the meds just don't cut it some days.
