Dharma. Recovery

Do any of you do Dharma Recovery? AA is a great program. I just don’t feel it. I’ve tried several times and it just doesn’t feel good to me. Maybe I had the wrong sponsor. But I have been looking into Dharma and it feels good to my soul. I was just curious if there are any like minded successful with recovery here.

Thank you!

I had never heard of it, but I am going to check it out now. I just read a little about it online, and it sounds like my cup of tea! I agree about AA. I've been doing smart recovery, which I really enjoy, but I think I'll give these meetings a shot as well.

Dharma is a wonderful program. I can't wait until it spreads further with more meetings.

I also don't feel it with AA. I've been doing women for sobriety and am feeling very included. Wfs.Org

I will look into Dharma recovery.

I live in Wyoming and there aren’t any close to me. Maybe when I get further in sobriety I can create a group.

What specifically is dharma thou? I have heard of it, just don’t kno what it stands for I guess

It is the Buddhist take on recovery. It’s similar to AA in regards of working toward sobriety.

Thank you! I’ll look into it.

I go to recovery Dharma meetings and really enjoy them. There is generally a 20 minute meditation at the beginning, a reading, then sharing. I go to online meetings. I suggest looking up their website and finding a meeting!

Thank you!!!

Dharma is great if you don’t believe in GOD?

Try Celebrate recovery if you do believe in the God Head…

I do both and love both also!
