Did anyone else have an issue with isolating? I am

I isolated my first six months too…. I spoke with my sponsor about it and felt a little better I have over a year and 3 months now! I hope u get better at finding ways not to isolate so much! Congrats on six months!

Yes me too! I’m in recovery, and the depression is real with me!

Dude me too idk what to do about it

I just exercise a lot now

I definitely do. I’ve realize that being alone & doing productive things for my sobriety, soul & so on is what works for me right now. It’s definitely not ideal but for now it keeps me happy & healthy.:black_heart:

When I isolated I got stuck inside my head and that is not a good place to be. Sharing at a meeting will combat the loneliness, picking up a new activity or bring back a healthy one. Read Living Sober. There’s sound advise for early recovery

I am glad to hear you are doing well and are happy and healthy.

In early recovery, the brain is working on it’s own recovery due to the fact that alcohol & narcotics have altered our mind’s way of releasing dopamine. Since dopamine directly affects mood & sleep and a lack of it can cause depression & lack of motivation, isolation is totally normal. I’m eighteen months sober and still struggle with it. That’s why it’s so important to keep working the program, going to meetings and absolutely staying in close contact with your sponsor! Trust and believe, you’ll overcome this!
