The last couple years, I’ve struggled with restrictive eating, etc. I’ve gone through phases where I’ve written down every single bite of food, counted every calorie, etc. These last few days, I’ve been struggling. Struggling because I’ve actually had an appetite, and I’ve actually been putting food in my body. I’m trying to convince myself that putting on a few pounds wouldn’t be the end of the world. I’m sure my body is grateful to have calories that aren’t pure alcohol. People have made comments about my weight throughout my entire life. Even when I was 22 & a size zero. So I know my perspective is skewed. Anyone else struggle with this? Sorry for the rambling.🫠
Part of my alcoholism was tied to the fact that I wouldnt eat and I lost weight that way. I definitely struggle with this. Hobbies now should be working out but I'm just too depressed and too overwhelmed with responsibilities that I'm just not ready. I go some weeks feeding myself and my son a lot of healthy things and other weeks I'm just making sure I get some sort of calories in no matter the substance. So pop. Or candy.
