Do you struggle with overworking, over helping, or over controlling now that you are sober?

More motivated than ever. I do work too much I’ll admit. But I like money and being debt free!! It’s better than being drunk all the time.

I don't struggle with overworking- I enjoy it. I try not tell others what to do because I hate being told what to do.

Adam I feel that. I did the same thing when I got sober, went full send into work. It felt good to build something and not be wrecking my life anymore. Making money and being stable is a huge win. The only thing I had to watch was when “motivated” started turning into “can’t sit still with myself.” That’s when I knew I was running again, just in a different direction.

Nat I get that too. Some of us are wired to move and build, nothing wrong with enjoying your work. The self awareness part is the key. If it’s adding to your life and not draining you or pushing people away, that’s different than using it to numb out.
