Do you think doctors ,paramedics and hospital stuff hates drug

Anyone ever admitted to hospital on drug addiction?
Do you think most doctors hates addicts ?
Would I get in trouble if I do?

I'll tell you that the ER in my town Treats addicts terribly! Unless you threaten to sue them because they think all addicts are uneducated

This is in fact how I got sober. I had a hangover from heck on day 3 or so, and it definitely wasn’t my first rodeo in the ER for it. Some will judge you and be impatient, but some will recognize the effort you are making. They are more understanding when you are honest with yourself and with them. Legally, there’s no way you should get in trouble (unless you’re on probation or something), and it’s worth a shot. Be kind to yourself and others if it doesn’t work the first time.

I don’t think doctors hate addicts, I’m guessing they are deeply affected by the futility and utter mind-numbing mental gymnastics it takes to deal with their behaviors, but hate is not their currency. You’re deserving of love, respect, and quality medical attention, but you have to look past your own self doubt and shame long enough to do the right thing for you. You owe it to yourself to get the help you need. It’s not about them.

Go in if you need to. Who cares what they think. But I was treated like :poop:

Agreed but drug addicts are more kind and compassionate. Alcoholics in my opinion are mean and never who they say they are. They are liars and pretend to be someone they are not. Drug addicts don't really give a fu*k what people think of us because we are true to ourselves. And a lot of alcoholics like to judge and point fingers. Which is why AA tries to silence us. In my opinion and what I've experienced.

Not sure. Haven’t thought of it. But research the percentage of doctors who are addicts. You’d be surprised to find out they are hypocrites. Plus, it’s not in your control. Don’t let those thoughts take space up in your brain. :v:

Met lots of alcoholics in groups my dad was one too and you so right they more violent they not healthy personality to be around

Are you a spokesperson for AA or is your real name BILL. COME ON. A person should never be silenced for what they are dealing with. Why should I even have to start off with, "hi I'm Tommy an alcoholic or an addict" obviously I'm an alcoholic if I'm here at a meeting.. the point is people go to meetings for support and help. When you take that away from them in my opinion is just hypocrisy and quite ignorant. It doesn't matter my profession or what I do for a living. Why should that even matter and be brought up. Don't turn this into an argument because you you're losing focus on what really matters and being right or wrong is not the case. Best to you and keep hiding who you truly are when you go to certain meetings. Ciao

Congratulations on that and im glad you chose sides when your in a certain group. Sounds like you're not really being true to yourself or being honest in my opinion..

Exactly it's all opinonated so why are you so angry about what my opinion is on a certain group.. I think you need to re read the preamble.

Alcoholics are known liars and when was the last time you heard a drug addict abuse someone. 99.99% of domestic abuse is because the abuser is DRUNK not high. So let that sink in.

They’re goal is to help but there’s definitely a stigma. I was hospitalized after an over dose and they basically just shoved me into the psych unit after I was stabilized. You won’t get in trouble, but they are trained to save lives, not treat addiction in terms of getting sober. More medical emergencies, possibly provide resources. The treatment center I went to had a professionals program tho, lots of doctors, nurses, even police officers. Addiction can affect anyone, or their loved ones. The paramedics that helped me in the past were all very kind from what I remeber.

They call it a drunk tank for a reason. Not a high tank right?

Congratulations on taking the "I'm a tough guy award". Thank you for your kind words too.

Nothing about my response was "I'm a tough guy". Just a clear observation that you're being a d1ck and letting you know because it's apparent you have no clue. Good luck. You're gonna need it with your attitude.

Again thanks for your kind words.

So righteous all of sudden. Glad you had a change of heart.

Thanks for proving my theory about angry drunks too. Can give up the drink but the anger still lies within. Listen buddy I am not new to this and really don't need to explain myself to someone who decides to lash out so vulgar. Maybe find a better vocabulary and we might have a good conversation.
