Did you use any OTC to help , what did you do to help and how long did it take for you to feel normal again

I tapered off, but I also used suboxone. I had to do it slowly and gave myself 3 months. I kept cutting my doses in half. It is hard but you can do it. Can you tell me what your timeline is for quitting? Do you have the money to go to a clinic? I can help along the way.

I have my first appointment with evergreen outpatient on march 25th. I’m currently 3 days clean . The goal is to be back on subs and then I want to get the sublocade shot. I have some subs but I’m waiting to take them because I don’t want to go into precipitated withdrawal . But knocking on wood something is slightly different about it this time . I haven’t got sick yet like I feel some stuff here and there but then I try to listen to a podcast to distract myself .

I believe that, my kid father is still doing it but he’s not doing it in front of me . Sometimes I get mad like I’m missing out but I keep reminding myself I’m not happy. None of my friends do this stuff they don’t even know that I do. I completely stopped going around them when I started using because I know they wouldn’t approve at all.

Yes like thank god I have a job that literally distracts me for 8 hours and by the time I get home I only have time for making my “diet” foods and getting the kids together to go to sleep . So that’s a blessing because that definitely keeps me distracted plus my “chasing heroine” podcasts that I listen too .

Hi Cassady, I drank and took benzos. I was very good at hiding how much I drank. I felt embarrassed to tell my friends and thought they would think bad of me. That was not the case. They supported me. They stood by my side. Some came to rehab to visit me. I just wanted to share my experience. Some friends I never told, some I told after I was sober for a while. The support they gave helped me get through.

Yes!! Go to as MANY Narcotics Anonymous meetings as possible; raise your hand and identify yourself to the group. I kicked heron 5 years, 7 months and 16 days ago. I had a gorilla on my back, not a monkey :see_no_evil:! It can be done, but don’t try to alone. There’s no reason to.
