Does anyone agree that there's a difference between an addict and a user?
Not enough of a difference to matter. Cigarettes, alcohol, and weed are the least addictive substances we deal with here the rest of the stuff is almost use once and you're hooked.
Yes & no. I look at it like this it's like the difference between a tire thats low on air & a tire that's flat. The tire that's low on air can still be driven, but for how long if u don't fill it up. If u don't address the tire that's low on air it's soon to be completely flat making the vehicle not drivable and essentially an addict.
I agree it's jus my dilemma is it's unfair to call a user an addict
I believe only the individual can decide if they are an addict/alcoholic.
I personally don't think it's a worthwhile argument. An addict uses. Thats it. If a user isn't an addict, then they have a high probability to become an addict bc they are already at the user level.
Who knows. Addiction is a progressive disease. But this topic is just splitting hairs. Why?
All addicts are users but not all users addicts. I used in moderation for years and don’t look back at that time as being an addict. I became an addict over time.
Moral: don’t use and you won’t get addicted.
I completely agree with this theory
