Yes! It took a while to get to know myself as a sober person, it was a very different person. Through the years of sobriety I have become more comfortable in social situations and kind of found my voice, but it still takes work.

That's part of why I drank. To become the social butterfly I always wanted to be. For the most part, I'm okay with being quiet now. I am not often in situations where I feel the need to be super extroverted. I also changed my friend group, they are very accepting and genuine and they don't need me to be any certain way for us to be able to have a good time and enjoy each other's company.

I kind of like sitting back and shutting up now that im not drinking. There are some awkward silences but im learning to enjoy that

Yes.. enough said;)

Absolutely! Currently learning how to be confident and comfortable to be able to have great sober conversations.

Thank you everyone! Last month I didn't drink then I got lit up for 2 days made my family upset, again. Last month was good, but all I wanted to do is buy 40 acres and abandon the world. Is that wrong to think? Not sure why I just want to be alone.
