Does anyone have any tips about being sober at a wedding? This is my first major event since I stopped drinking and I’m already anxious about it.

Have a support group ready to call. Leave if you are even slightly tempted.
Or just don’t go if you aren’t ready to be around alcohol.

I went to my first sober wedding recently and it went well! I just made sure I had a plan ahead of time. The friends I went with knew I was sober and were supportive. I also had people I could call if I needed to. And I was the DD and that way I could also leave early if I needed to. And I drank club soda and diet coke! (Or whatever your favorite NA drink is!)

Not really, but I got through it. I was the only one at the table
not drinking and drank Diet Coke, coffee, and water all night. I was tempted but it went away after I saw numerous sloppy drunk people.

Have numbers of sober people, your sponsor to call. Watch your drink so no mix up with some one drinking alcohol. Leave and get air for 10 min if need to
Go to meetings before.you go around drinkers.it will help.
