Im trying to get on a methadone program in Niagara county ny. I dont have any experience with the program. When i got out of detox on sept 25,2024 for pills. . I was referred to a program in Buffalo . I waited 3 weeks only to be told that i had to go to a Niagara county program. I called them Tues oct 15. Got called back for screening fri oct 18. I called them today and asked how long it takes. The lady told me they had to see if i fit thier program. If not they will send me somewhere else. Does anyone have experience with this type of maintenance program? Does anyone know how long it takes to get into a methadone maintenance program? Idk if this is normal to have to wait almost a month . Im desperate. I dont want to end up getting fentinal accidentally. Also i do know that some people do not consider it being sober being on it . Ive tried white knuckling it but ive never succeded. Admin if this post is not allowed please forgive me, new here . Please no negative comments. I already feel bad enough
Go to detox and be done with all that $hit.
