Does anyone have tips on things to do at night

I like to go for a walk/run. I have also weirdly gotten into Legos :smirk: Loneliness is something I am still figuring out since so much of the social scene in my area is bar-centric - but sending you positive vibes and hope you find some fun/healthy things to pass the time when the sun goes down.

Good question! I watch comedy videos but that gets old. Just keep myself distracted now but hopefully will find some positive activity soon.

There is a ton of sugar in alcohol, the replacement of another type of sugar tricks the body & mind for the physical craving which biologically only lasts for 15 minutes but 15 minutes in the first 24 hours - 90 days of detoxing can feel like hours without realizing it. Not saying that every hour on the hour one won’t experience that 15 minute craving because it happens, so pound away on the sugar intake. Juice is the best choice but candy is more satisfying. Both our dentists and doctors prefer our sugar habits to liquor, we can tackle the sugar addiction later. My apologies for any diabetics, I can only speak to the disease of alcoholism.

Any kind of meetings.aa. Org. Celebrate recovery look on line. Zoom meeting.

As crazy as it sounds you could try whatever you did before but sober. Unless of course it was solely sitting around drinking.

Listen to podcasts or do some yoga or meditation, read. I always brush my teeth right after dinner. It kinda signals my brain I’m done eating and drinking for the day.
