Does God abandon us in our trials, or does He

Does God abandon us in our trials, or does He remain by our side? Does He endure the pain that wracks our souls, weep the tears that stream down our faces, and feel the weight of loss that crushes our spirits?

I believe he is always with us, of we accept Jesus as our personal Savior. Sometimes trials are tough, but they can be used to strengthen our trust in Him. That's my belief.

Tommy, I believe we are all God. As individuations of God having billions/trillions of unique experiences, my answer is yes God feels everything we feel. We have the power to create & choose our experiences and feelings. That’s the awakening.
I hope this helps.

I was blessed to be an atheist in my life- too many signs that point to a useless deity created by primitive men.
That said, the reason I am alive is because no gods exist. If I believed for a millisecond that some cosmic bearded man caused the circumstances that made me kill my own beautiful son and send me to prison - if I believed for that single moment it was real, I would immediately end my destroyed life in sole purpose of finding him and slitting his throat to watch him suffer at my strong forceful hands as I have at his.
Eye for an eye, as his “good book” prescribes.
So six years later im out of prison, still alive, and working daily on rebuilding the foundations of my happiness. Thank goodness there’s no gods.

Every situation of suffering and pain is my higher powers personal invitation to connect. It doesn't cause the pain, it doesn't allow the pain. Life is painful sometimes, drunk/high or sober. What it does do is force me to come back to the present moment, pause, breathe, and recenter until I'm good again. Nothing is worth going back to that old way of life.
