Doing my own BigBook study. Not my first rodeo so know what to do. Starting from beginning of the book. One of my favorite….page 13 bottom “Belief in the power of God, plus enough willingness, honesty, and humility to establish and maintain the new order of things, were the essential requirements”. That is exactly how it works! It goes on to say “These are revolutionary and drastic proposals, but the moment I fully accepted them, the effect was electric”.

I go back to that time and time again. Sharing to help others. Have a wonderful hump day!

Very cool. If you can find a sponsor to guide you through that book it will help a ton. Keep that miracle going.

If you're studying the BB solo, the Joe & Charlie tapes are great study guides. They go through the pages & break down things many of us may overlook.

Thank you. I will check it out. I have been through this book cover to cover, page by page many times. The margins are filled! Pages of notes! Great to be back. Never gets old and I learn something each and every time! Happy hump day!

I have done this with a sponsor several times. Been through the book several times cover to cover, page by page. The margins of the book are filled with notes and I have probably hundreds of pages in notebooks. I learn something new each and every time! It is a miracle! Don’t know what I would do without the book. Also have a small support group, that know me and realize that organized groups make me crazy! So we meet up and I am able to work with them. Not traditional, I know. Substance abuse counselor, and not what I recommend. But you have to do what works for you. Thank you for your inspiring thoughts and for being my friend. I’m sure you know what will work for you. Keep up that positive thinking. You’ll do great I’m sure. Glad you are here. Keep sticking around. I’m sure you’ll be able to help other ladies on their sober journey. Cool reading you posted by the way. I’m more of an NA type. Although I do both readings. Thank you for the response.
