That’s the worst thing you can say to someone who drank like me. I could avoid that drink today but you bet your a..I’d drink tomorrow. This statement permits it. Some dangerous advice to people you don’t know. If you know the person and you think it will have effect in a positive way then fine but you are basically giving the alcoholic like me the permission to go all out tomorrow. This is social media so whoever was like me could read this. I am 2 years sober so I am ok with it now. But who knows with others here. Sorry some AA cliches don’t work with everyone
I'm sorry to hear that. That's the only thing I've done right in 25 years in AA is physically not drink one day at a time. 
Congratulations on your time. I hope to get there someday, however to me one day at a time and just don’t drink today have very different meanings. I know many others feel the same way
