I know for me drinking. Is to die and I'm in trouble with. The law the list goes on and on . I know I cannot drink . marijuana I cannot do because it will lead me back to the drink . . sobriety is a gift from God .it's a journey but it's :100: percent the effort

Thank you for acknowledging there are many types of ways people come to find that sobriety is a superpower! I am celebrating four years today in New York City where it is truly is as hard with the social/dating struggles as Hilary details here. There is so much clarity to know who your true friends and dates are with open sober eyes! :eyes:

What about Gastro By Pass surgery and the negative impact.

Where are you from?

I was here for months before I stopped drinking. Just keep reading, praying, and writing it all down. Day 1 is on its way. Today is week 7, so I'm new. This is my only source of encouragement so far other than it was time for me to put it down. I went to one aa meeting, I was looking for na. Nobody showed, and a lady in the aa meeting next door handed me a 24 hour chip and said just stop drinking for 24 hours. So I did, haven't been back, but here I am. I still have other problems. But I'm not drinking, week 7 down. One thing at a time, and I'm better than I was.
