Dull therapy

Looking for answers - I am in therapy for the first time in my life. The hope was to have support during this sobriety journey as well as deal with my Complex PTSD, panic and depression disorders.. at first things were great and I really enjoyed the therapist I was given.

[Background - I have no job, no insurance, living with parents until I can re-establish myself as the person I want to be. Therefore, I have to get the most basic county funded mental health where I get a sliding scale fee.]

It’s been 6 months- she tells me I’m doing great all the time but we haven’t tackled anything really. We started to look at some issues but she hasn’t really seen anything through.

I have started looking for another therapist, but I am limited with means.. just looking for advice on similar situations of having to get a new therapist or any kind advice 🫶

All I can tell you is that you’re doing the right thing by looking for another therapist. If it’s not working then we change it and you’re trying to do that even tho you have limitations at the moment. Stay strong :muscle: Also, let the therapist know how you feel about your sessions. Tell them it’s not working and you want a change. It’s their job and they are a professional
