dont lose your sobriety over other ppls bs. You can push thru it im hoing thru yhe same thing and I have A year and almost 7 months

Been there. Not worth it. I stay on limited contact for this reason. They may never change but you can. Be well.

Play the tape forward. Where would you end up? How would you feel? Nothing is worth jeopardizing your sobriety. Easier said than done when you’re going through it, I know. But, think about you. This isn’t about anyone else but you. Protect you and your sobriety at all cost. Check out the resources at the top of the app. Sometimes I’ll rewatch some of the episodes and most importantly keep posting here. Stay strong you got this. I am a DM away..

People places and things... Family aren't always our friends. In fact, they can be the worst. Call and check in with them, but you are a free bird and this bird they cannot change. :chains:‍:boom:

Hey - I know you made this post two days ago but I hope you’ve made it through without any significant setbacks. When I come across moments like this, I say the serenity with an emphasis on accepting that I cannot change other people BUT remembering I can control my thoughts, reactions and expectations.

It’s helped me to deal with people as I go through recovery and I eventually realized that my family and most other people I am interacting with have their own character defects and are doing the best they can. I just need to pray for God to bless them and change me.
