Edible for managing pain

I believe I pinched a nerve in my neck(waiting on mri). It has been so painful for the last week and a half and I am not sleeping at all or doing anything really it’s just constantly in pain.

I was being prescribed Tylenol 3s which gave some relief but doctor doesn’t want to prescribe anymore. I’m thinking about trying some low dose edibles because the pain is unmanageable.

I used to smoke a lot in high school but since then I have just used it very recreationally since until I got completely sober.

What is everyone’s opinion on that?

Everyone is different when it comes to that. Personally, I do believe it’s better than pills so as soon as it became medically legal I applied & received my med. card. I was getting prescribed Vicodins every month for pain for yrs. It was great for me w/the drinks (teas & sodas) because I would feel relief in like 5-10 min vs 45 min. With the edibles for example I’m 5 ft 140 lbs and I take 50mg and my hubby is 5’10 220 lbs and takes 10 mg…. Your tolerance and the way your body responds to it will be different than everyone else’s. Whatever you decide I wish you the best of luck and hope your mri goes well and it’s something that is temporary and can be treated. :crossed_fingers:

It’s your journey. I wouldn’t. Talk to your doctor about non-narcotic pain meds for nerve pain (like gabapentin).
