Erm Any suggestions?

Failing to understand the exact purpose of this. I joined because… cool, sober community… and find advertisements and a sober marketplace. I’ve got nothing against it, just trying to figure out what I’m doing here….

You could share what has helped you maintain your sobriety for so long to help others who are struggling in early recovery. Clearly, you have wisdom others might not have.

It takes a minute to navigate the app. But once you do its easy. The community is great. A lot of support, advice, and positive people. I hope you find what you're looking for. Best wishes

This app is fairly new. I would assume the advertisements allow us to use the platform free of charge. I’ve noticed that there is a lot less engagement here than other social media platforms, but I believe the purpose is to use it just as you have done. Post your thoughts, and others interact. I’ve been posting daily gratitudes and have been using this as a kind of journal so far. The five minute meditation sessions are nice as well:blush::+1:

I appreciate that, thanks for the suggestion!

I appreciate the encouragement!

Nailed it

Fair question. The ads help keep the community free to use and support the team that built and maintains it. The Marketplace is another part of LOOSID, but you don’t have to use it. The community side is for exactly what you came looking for: meeting other sober people, talking about what’s going on, asking questions and finding ppl who get it. So I get why the ads made you wonder what the point of the app was.

I’m here to help you. If you have any questions or concerns please dm me.

Much appreciated, thanks for taking the time to comment. I didn’t exactly mean the actual purpose behind the ads. Just actually trying to navigate the app and adjust to all the things. Essentially opened it up and saw “Talk to AI companion” and an intro video popped up and then minimized and it was still talking, and then “T-shirts!” I felt like I was in Times Square for a second. Took the advice of one of the comments above and posted about my recovery though.
