Even if we fall off the wagon. We can keep

Even if we fall off the wagon. We can keep it here. I’ve learned sometimes if you tell your loved ones oh shoot made an oppsy daisy it’s not exactly well received. So my suggestion to all us struggling is keep it tight with those who pass no judgment or disappointment. :+1:t2: And maybe here is the forum to do so. Much love to all my fellow struggling alcoholics!! We are probably one of the toughest f…ing bunch like ever!!!!!!

Yes but I think at some point we have to really look at why we keep relapsing. For me personally, I had to make a decision and stick with it. People passed judgement on me for good reason, because I would say one thing yet do another. I was disingenuous. After my last relapse and the sh** show that ensued, I really don't have the luxury of relapses or slips. Took me 5 years to get clean after a "slip", almost cost me my life. They simply havent been an option since I honesty did steps 1-3. Good luck on your journey.

I hear you I really do. But I think I am trying to reach people who have very judgmental critical people in their lives that happen to be their family and because they make more money then you do and have a nicer house then you do there are expectations of you and when you don’t meet them they ostracize you and that feels horrible and makes being a better person harder so I say be careful who you tell all your troubles too cause it can seriously make your recovery way worse

For most slips and relapses are part of the journey. I agree, however, that giving ourselves permission is a risk. I did it for years. I was in the roller coaster for 15 years. Never got past 1 year. I had to really challenge my emotional stability and concluded that I was a big emotional baby. Whenever I got scared or anxious about big things (relationship, money, career) I looked for an escape. Even when I was otherwise living in recovery and plugged in. I didnt trust God with the things I was afraid of and kept whimping out. Had to decide that no matter what happened I would try God and not the old medicine. Took a few trials but I learned to rely on Him and not booze to get me through the hard emotional stuff.

Well that is a beautiful speech. Z zzz

Sorry. Didnt mean to bore you.
