Everyday, is a struggle

Everyday, is a struggle. I'm reaching out to folks everywhere possible, in search for a rehab that will accept me, before my life takes its final turn to worse. Anybody have any suggestions, or possibly any referrals? I am located in Central Florida, Polk County. Any helps much appreciated.

I know this takes guts. Unfortunately, I don't have any referrals or recommendations because I can't speak from experience in that area; and don't want to say anything about something I know nothing about.

Did you complete a Google search to find the best rehabs in this area?

Go to the ER and tell them you need to detox. Most likely they will hold you for 72 hours and can help find a bed. Good luck!

Keep reaching out. I agree with Tim. Also might try hitting some meetings until you can get into a facility

Stay tight in the meetings. Still using or not. It does not say in the big book that you have to be clean to go to meetings it says that you only have to have the desire to stay clean. Don’t quit five minutes before the miracle happens. Go to as many meetings a day as you can find. People in the rooms will surely be able to help you. God bless you Amanda.

I’m sorry I meant God bless you Taylor

Find a hospital in your area that offers detox call them. I went to hospital here that had a detox unit first ER until they had a bed. They made me comfortable with medication. It was the best thing I did. Will celebrate 20 months soon. :pray:t3::pray:t3:. Good luck. This isn’t worth dying over. I watched two people die from alcoholism it’s not pretty.

I've been attempting to get myself into even a detox center then hopefully a rehab center thereafter.. , but have been getting more or less a run around for the past 8 months, since I had missed the first appointment I was supposed to go with detox. I've been struggling, worse and worse, just to keep my life under control. But I just keep losing, I've got no support system whatsoever. All the influential characters of my upbringing have all died. My wife & i are not together anymore, taking my daughter away from me, who's 3. I've been through a deepening hole for years now.. But this years worse. My background says it. & I shot myself in the head in an attempt to commit suicide, back in 2016, with a glock 36, which is a .45 caliber pistol. I was only 23 years old when I did that.& Now I'm 29. And when I say life sure put me through the deep ever since, it really has. Its began drowning me as a person. I've become so empty. Angry & scared all at once - but just scared, only because I don't trust in myself or my self control anymore. I've been abusing methamphetamine for an upward of nearly a decade now letting it ruin majority good things in my life - I've lost jobs, my wife & daughter, cars, home, money just so much money, and so much more man, its insane. And since I shot myself, my health both physically and mentally is just getting way worse. I've been struggling hard lately and can't seem to find any centers that will help me with my issue. If you know of any, please, contact me in a message. Anything helps. Thanks for your replies. I'm fine so don't freak out, I wouldn't repeat my 2016 incident ever again. I just need help.

Go online to sober living near me and talk to the house mgr to see if they have any contacts I’m sure someone will have a connect it’s what we do in sobriety the next thing I’d do is ask around in the meetings if you live in a sm town find the closest city hit the meetings and ask around

Go to a local AA meeting and reach out and ask others who have been there before you.
