Congrats Krista!!! I'm new here as well, but have been clean from meth for 10 years now. Every day is hard, but one day at a time is all we can promise ourselves. Stay strong one day at a time!!

Wow that must have been brutal detoxing off meth in jail. They don't give you any medication in there for anxiety or withdrawal. Great to hear you're sober for over a year!

One year is a big accomplishment. You should be proud of yourself. Meth is a monster. Just remember what that jail cell feels like. No fun having to stand up for count, eat when they tell you can eat, and go to bed when they tell you to go to bed. I know all about.

I don't but would love that list

Occasionally, a stark dose of reality is necessary, as incarceration is universally undesirable, even among those who have experienced it.

Having spent eight years in that environment, I can attest that some individuals may only require a few days to acclimate. It appears that was sufficient for your needs, which is excellent. We wish you all the best.
