Explain the pink cloud and why it’s considered a bad

Explain the pink cloud and why it’s considered a bad thing or something to watch out for? If we’re feeling positive why make it such an issue to be causations about? Why not encourage someone to keep feeling that way! Like they can and will do this

Their is nothing wrong with it, most all of us experience a pink cloud as our head clears and our health returns.. and it usually lasts until Life happens and relationship problems crop up or problems at work etc.. Just be aware of it so when you come down off of it and reality hits, you’re not in shock. The goal is to find the balance. Hope that helps  :white_heart:

The pink cloud is great but it is wise to be cautious and aware with it because it will go away eventually and sometimes rather abruptly. If you're doing the work and have a sponsor it's easier to handle when the early "euphoria" or "pink cloud" dissipates. Downturns and depression are normal at some point in sobriety and the steps teach you how to deal with those inevitable times of life. Best advice I ever got in early sobriety is to never get too high and never get too low. Balance is key. It's great to be happy and enthusiastic about sobriety but also need to be prepared for tough times or tragic events. For me, that preparedness comes from doing the work and being active in recovery. Best of luck.

Never heard of it, but I guess I went through it? :grinning:
Doesn't sound like a bad thing to me!

Great question. So for me before sobriety it was high high peaks and super low valleys. In sobriety things have leveled off. Everything is OK one day at a time. Pink clouding is fine, just keep in mind that “this to shall pass”. Enjoy it while it is there, it’s wonderful and can last a long time. It did for me. Super grateful for it. All I have is today, and I choose to live where my feet are. Good bad or ugly. One day at a time.
