This was my daily study today. Hope it helps someone.

“It is not death or pain that is to be dreaded, but the fear of pain or death.” — Epictetus.

The only way to truly live is to be present in everything you do now and not worry about past or future situations you can’t control.

When you accept death for what it is, that it will happen, not just to us, but everyone around us, you can start getting on with your life without worrying about it.

And when it comes to fear of pain or death, you have options in life – face FEAR

as option 1) Forget Everything and Run

or option 2) Face Everything and Rise

You decide.

This is your wake-up call to make the most of each moment NOW. Don’t waste precious time in a state of fear about future events.

Everything you want is on the other side of fear, so push through it, as it’s never as bad as you think it might be!

This is the answer to that nagging feeling that you are not where you want to be or who you want to be. Life is NOT about being a better person but about GETTING better at expressing your true self (the version of you buried under everything, every message from people and the environment which taught you fear in the first place)

For a long time, that’s what I did. Forget everything and run. Drink until I forget my problems, but then the problems continue to pile up. I’m trying my best to face everything and rise. I’ve noticed this option, while hard because I’d rather bury my head in the sand, gives me so much less anxiety.

Another wise and true saying is: Feel the fear and do it anyway.
