Ive been saying or writing that for years, but i had given it a different definition than the one i give it now. When you do something repetitively it becomes familiar, right? Yes. For me, i stayed sober for 10 months becuz i broke up the monotony- whether it was going to different kind of meeting NA, AA, Smart Recovery etc. Or i participated in different sports or activities, i went for a walk or hiked. Monotony is just as dangerous as isolation or boredom. But this is just what works for me. The Just For Today reading hits on it. Thank you.
