My family is super toxic. My dad was my person and he passed away 4 years ago. My mom and sister... They just won't see me for me. They talk down to me. In terrible feeling ways. I went no contact this week.it hurts. So much. Idk how to deal with it.

Shannon, smart move reaching out and sharing. You’re not alone. My dad was my rock and died in motorcycle accident when I was 10 months sober. My other family was not understanding or supportive and seemed to always just want money from me.
I had to stay away from the toxicity! I had to get ingrained into the sober community and protect my emotional sobriety at all costs. 17 years sober now and I forgive my family and love them from afar. Mom and I became super close 
which is a miracle of my sobriety and growth.
