Being a big movie buff…just curious—-what’s your favorite movie about sobriety or recovery?
I’ve heard “4 good days” is really good. -Haven’t had the chance to see it yet though..
I just found it on 123movies.
-Going to finally check it out now, I’ll let you know
If 123movies is free I'll check it out tonight Good question Bryce
4 Good Days is pretty solid!
Mila Kunis and Glenn Close are both great!!
“Clean and Sober” is an oldie from the late 80’s but is great!! Has Michael Keaton in it!
This one is not necessarily a film on sobriety or recovery, but it's beautifully shot and the overall theme i believe, we all can understand to a certain degree... "Requiem For A Dream" by Darren Aronofsky. With that, my sobriety-i hold sacred to me.
Denzel Washington where he is the pilot of a big Airliner
Arthur either one. Russell Brand or Dudley Moore. The struggle for clean time is real. Also Rocketman the story of elton John brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it.
4 good days is pretty darn good . The mini series dope sick is amazing
Pamela Anderson is not only an incredible actress, but also a sober one. Any of her movies are golden.
Absolutely!! An absolute alltimer!! Wouldn’t recommend to newcomers though.
Flight!!
I have only seen the Sandra Bullock one - 28 Days. I would love to learn how to produce video. Can you give me some tips and best practices? I get so frustrated when I try to make a video because I’m so bad at it.
www. Supernova.to best free site ever! Been using it for over 10 years.
Flight.
Rocketman was so good. That scene in the end when he asks, "Are you gonna hug me?"
Leaving Las Vegas is a wake up call. Made me never wanna binge drink again
SMASHED - about what happens in a couple when only one person wants to stop.
HALF NELSON - one of Ryan Gosling’s best and about what happens when you realize your “mentor” is only human.
BEAUTIFUL BOY - about how our family often never gives up on us, no matter how many times we fail them.
And on a lighter note - the Hulu series SINGLE DRUNK FEMALE. Funny yet smart and often quite poignant.
And finally, the “Special Episode” of EUPHORIA (one of the two that were made in between Seasons 1 and 2) that takes place in the Diner is one of the single greatest hours of art ever made about the concept of addiction. You don’t have to watch the show to see these 60 minutes and have them hit you like a stone cold brick. I watch this episode at least once every month just to remind me why I’m on this journey.
