Hi Andy, it’s different every where, I found a program here is Louisiana that gives grants to people going to school for addiction counseling. There is a specific list of classes to have and the another set of required hours that can be any class. I think total is 300 hours. I went to school to be a licensed counselor then feel flat on my face. 17 years after I graduated college, I am sober again and fulfilling that goal. It’s so good to actually have goal’s again. Stay strong on your journey.
One of your other posts mentions "let go and let god". Is this a "strategy" that you consider practical that you would be counseling people to do to help with addiction?
