Feeling Alone

I have never felt so alone in my life. Nights and weekends are the worst.. I don’t know what to do and how to cope. Does anyone else feel this pain?

I can relate! Nights can be hard for me too. I've found going to meetings or talking with other sober people helps a lot. I try to plan my days so I have something going on in the evenings so I'm not spending a lot of time at home by myself. Even if it's just going for a walk or cooking dinner - having something planned to keep me busy has helped  you are not alone!

Hang in there my friend, it’s not easy but it’s a necessary part of sobriety. I enjoyed the aloneness bc I was a big social drinker. In the early stages I mainly worked and spent waking hours in the gym. As I was settling in to sobriety, I began to find positive distractions such as hiking and extended weekend getaways. I made sure I steered clear of any functions that had alcohol until I was fully ready to be around it. Try to look up some sober groups in your area, maybe they’ve got weekly activities scheduled.

Get out to meetings and meet lots of people.:dromedary_camel:

Yeah, like Dave said, get out to meetings. Easy peasy.

Look on line for different programs .home work.:dromedary_camel:
