Im 31. 4 years sober Live in a small michigan town and recently single. Its so hard to make friends or find people my age who dont party. AnAny help?

Search out your local (or nearby) AA (or any recovery space 
) rooms. We are almost everywhere. You’ll meet likeminded people who also are trying to move forward in their lives without drugs and alcohol. Good luck!!

Any 12 step meetings are gonna have dope people to meet and hang out with

I am in Campbell River BC. Going onto 11 months sober on 26th. Finding people who don’t drink is tough. But if you give yourself time and patience you meet some pretty great people.

Brandon, it’s definitely a challenge. However, there are many of us in the rooms of AA/NA etc. At 17+ years sober, I have had to reset and reinvigorate my life several times. Going back to the basics, such as 90 in 90. 90 different in person meetings in 90 days so I find the meetings and more importantly the people I actually like.

I get the frustration. I found a lot of friends on this app through messaging back and forth. In person, check out if they have any sober events in your area, in person meetings. I hope you find more friends in your area. Until then we're here for you

Come hang with us YPAA. We got sober young and we just have a good time now in sobriety. There’s an international conference coming up in Grand Rapids you should come and make some new friends!

In a similar boat. I’ve tried smart recovery and AA along with other resources around me in Ottawa ON. Lots of research, then lots of meetings I think

Brandon looking into Oxford houses, brother. One of my main problems staying sober in the past was that all my friends were still using and I had nobody to spend time with that all changed when I found an Oxford house get the meetings, shake hands get phone numbers get some sober friends doing sober stuff, man keep the faith better days are coming
