I had over 3 months.. I worked SO HARD for those 3 months, my mother's 10 year death anniversary came along and I relapsed HARD. then made it a few days and found out some more information that shouldn't have even fazed me and I drank.. AGAIN.. pretty sure I was just making excuses for myself at this point. Disappointed in myself because I know I'm stronger than this 🥹 so here's to ANOTHER day 3
You're not the first and you certainly won't be the last. Been there, done that. You do have to learn to play the scene forward if you're going to continue to stay sober. What happens if you drink? You might feel relief for a short period of time but eventually you're right back where you started and you have more guilt to carry around like you're doing right now.
It's called believing the LIE; at this time, everything will be okay. But it never is, is it?
No matter what happens in life it's never bad enough to drink. I'm probably going to sound like a philosopher here but one of the great truths in life is that life is tough.
Some people become victims of life and they take it to their graves because they never accepted the fact that life is tough. Then there are those that accept the fact that life is tough. Once we accept the fact that life is tough, the fact that life is tough no longer matters and we learn how to excel in life.
All through your years life is going to throw good days and bad days at you. You have to learn to walk through the pain because whatever it is,
This too shall pass!
Yep, just making excuses to get wasted. That's what we do! Take it serious but don't beat yourself up.
