Im still struggling with the idea that indeed nobody is going to save me from my addiction. When I was married to my ex husband I was sober. I was very happy those two years. The day he left everything went back in full force with my addiction. How many of you out there thought or still think that someone will save you from your addiction? I’m guilty of that thought. And for those you finally saved themselves, what was your motivation? What was it that finally clicked? I don’t think I can be happy living alone. I’m not sure what to do.
I knew it was my own responsibility to get sober. I got into the mess myself I need to get out of it. The saying “if you don’t love yourself, you will be hard to love” is true. Addiction is selfish. We have to be just as selfish in our health and well-being. It’s hard being sober. The hard is what makes it special. Putting the work in and doing it yourself makes it great.

I'm just tired of starting over. Court drama. Feeling like sh#t. Not doing hobbies and things I like to do. Pissing everyone off.
