New friends are always welcome! Loosid is amazing, really. Someone will always be here to talk, advise, and encourage.
I just realized this but on this app there are also events and activities that are for the sober community. Some of the trips look pretty cool, I would check them out. I also agree about giving meetings another try, some of my best friends today I met in my home group or other meetings. Some live all over the world, and the cool things is you can visit them and you can save on hotel fares. You just have to cook and buy groceries and such, try to contribute lol. I have been lonely often in sobriety but in reality that’s just the fear and my disease talking, you have to step out on faith and try some new fellowship, you won’t regret it!
Glad it's only a feeling. . Trust the process. Loneliness is a choice. Get involved in serving others and loneliness will go away
I'm sorry that AA is not for you.
I've never understood why some people don't like AA other than maybe they don't like human interaction. I can't figure it out. It's a great program where sober people meet up that are there for the same reason that you are.
Anyways, having said that, here's an article that I found that might help you out. Just use a little critical thinking with meeting people online.
Sobriety is about freedom to make choices.
You're sobriety tracker says you've been sober for over 5 years. I'm surprised you haven't acquired some sober friends in that amount of time.
I will love to be a friend. Let me know😘
