It is heartbreaking but definitely puts things into perspective. We don’t live close to each other anymore, she’s in Chicago with the rest of my original Recovery community. I’m making meaningful connections where I live now and still talk to my recovery family back in Chicago. I’m feeling a lot more connected now as opposed to when I posted my original post.

Sounds crazy but you can make lifelong friends in rehab. I still keep in touch with someone and we both are doing good. The connections are definitely amazing because we are all fighting for the same thing.
