Dee, I see you. I know that right now nothing feels exciting and it’s hard to see the point. I feel your pain — and I wish I could tell you there’s a quick fix, but there isn’t.
Try, instead, to step back and become the observer. Notice your thoughts and cravings — name them, acknowledge them, and then let them go.
Read something gentle. Go for a walk. Give yourself small moments of peace wherever you can find them.

Our circumstances are different. I lost my Mother in March and my husband of 30 years on August 8th, 2025. Sometimes life just sux to put it mildly. I found an app (free) called Finch. Seems ridiculous to think at my age 62, I benefit from an app that encourages me to get out of bed, brush my teeth and to eat healthy. There is even a grief section to help some. You are not alone. I'm celebrating 6 years clean and sober next April. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Peace my friend

Hang in there friend. I hit rock 🪨 bottom last summer and tried over dosing. Obviously didn't work, I woke up on my kitchen floor with my cat licking my face...haha. I ended up in a detox psych ward for a week in a guarded room strapped to a bed. Long story short, it can and will get better. I now am a certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CIT-SUD) and helping others with the same problems I had. Very rewarding.
