Fell off the horse. Hopping back on

I’ve heard from many that they slip up/relapse in the early days (not trying to legitimize me slipping up, but being open and honest with myself) and I am no exception after this past weekend. I wasn’t ready for a mini vacation just yet, went on one with a friend, and I of course found a way to legitimize an excuse to have a few beers.

What advice would you give any newcomers on how to make it through the first 30-90 days successfully?

I struggle with doing a 90 in 90 because of my work schedule (started my own company this year, so every day is wildly different) and because driving is my city is a nightmare. But, I need to create some kind of routine and suck it up. Looking forward to your input!

The routine you mentioned is a great idea. I started with just making my bed every day. Then make the bed, and make coffee, then make the bed, coffee, and lunch for the day. Little steps. After work, Instead of just going home go to a coffee shop, or book store. Jump on a zoom meeting, or a in person meeting, the gym…anything to keep your mind working and off drinking. Good luck man.

Appreciate your input my friend. Agreed, staying busy is definitely key. I spend so much time on Zoom for my job that it is almost painful to think about jumping on Zoom again. But, I know it’s the right thing to do if I can’t make it in person. :man_shrugging:t2:

Have an awesome week ahead!
