You can only “function “ so long until it takes you down. Fentanyl is deadly and it can take you out! Please try to put it down it’s deadly and we are losing people left and right to it! I’ll be praying for you

My brother’s girlfriend died from one bump… she was also a “functioning addict” the amount you get done is insignificant to the damage you are doing. As Jaime said, you can only function for so long. Get into a rehab, go to a NA meeting, check into an ER… do something other then what you are doing. Good luck to you.

Oh man I get it do I ever, I overdosed on fetty 4 yrs ago yesterday actually.. it took 6 narcan to bring me back, but it changed everything for the better for me. But man I get it for real that stuff grabs ahold of ur soul.. u should look into telehealth for MAT, I’m serious that saved my life. And I get it I used to the addict saying if I’m done doing drug im not putting any medication in my body bc that’s not clean either bla bla bla, but I’m here to tell u if u follow ur doctors orders and as prescribed u r still in recovery and recovering! If u want some help I’d love to help u find somewhere seriously

Bro…I was out in Northern California not too long ago. Their fentanyl problem is real, I saw people smoking it on the streets, they didn’t care who noticed or who was around. It’s killing people out there and it seems like they are lacing everything with it these days. Please be careful for real, it ain’t no joke.

If you’ve worked the steps sweetie you will know there is no such thing as a functioning addict truths here. I’m a little over 4 1/2 years clean and I use to say the same thing. Not true whatsoever. I strongly suggest you get into a treatment facility or try and get clean self but it really hard. You should talk to a Substance advisor and go from there. They will direct what steps you should take. My daughter was a Fetti user and she has 10 months clean . Proud Mom who’s also in recovery ❤️🩹. Today I Rock my Recovery. Best wishes. Please please consider going to rehab. I’m a father of a young child with 2 full times careers. You can function for only so long. You need medical detox, rehab and you need to live and breath AA. The medications work but they don’t cure you, they won’t allow you to grow in sobriety. They can also be “beat” so if you falter and try to override the medication With fetty you will OD immediately. You need rehab. I know this is a program of suggestions only but please consider it. Your life depends on it.
Jay I want to share you brother. I’ve been a paramedic for 10 years. When we would have prescribed overdoses( oxy, hydro, etc) I gave narcan 1/2 box .5 mg would pull the pt out . When I first experienced a pt with powdered fentanyl it took 3 BOXES! (This was late 2018 early 2019)Then relapse on way to the hospital. I was told by other users the heroin was changing colors. The overdose rate in our area skyrocketed at least 1 a shift. We had to carry more narcan. Last week we had 2 high school girls before senior graduation rehearsal die from fentanyl lace marijuana. Please go get help!
