Hi i stop drinking Alcohol 9-10-23 and loving life. I have been a live music lover since i was a kid 14 yrs old to Present. When i got my DUI on 9-10-23 i already had the The Bender Jamboree Festival in Las Vegas booked for 2 wks away. I made the choice to go and did it without taking a drink. Im really surprised i can be around it and not have a desire for it. Since my DUI i have been on 4 Blues Cruises and 8 Blues Festivals without drinking. Guess my higher power knows how important music is to my recovery. I am also grateful for the presence of recovery at most of them. Every cruise has Friends of Bill W meetings every morning and at most festivals have them also. I do feel when asked or offer a free drink and i tell them bout putting it dn gives them proof you can have fun without Alcohol. Getting ready to head to Amp Jam 2 on the Suwannee River in Lakeland Florida Thurs to Saturday if anyone going be there give me a shout will be in the VIP area. Life is so good without Alcohol
