Go to an Oxford House if you are sober enough to pass the initial drug test. They will help you find a job, rehome the dog, get connected with a group, and give you the chance, the opportunity, to turn your life around if you choose. Good luck

I know the feeling all to well. The first days are very difficult. I was told to go on Zoom and look for a meeting. I zoomed non stop for quite a while. It connected me to recovery and other addicts. Hope that helps

For me using and jail went hand in hand.
I had to get medically detoxed. Then 3 in person meetings everyday for a few years.
I didn’t have money or insurance so I just went to lots of meetings and did the 12 steps a bunch of times. It worked! 16 years later still grateful and sober.
You can do it too if you choose to.

Try to seek out some help out, find support, and start the work to turn your life around. Nothing changes if nothing changes. You’re bound to return to jail if you don’t put in any work to transform your life. You got this!

You absolutely can make this be your new life. For you and your puppup! One day. One hour. One minute
at a time. You are worthy of staying sober.

Hey Melissa, DO NOT rehome your dog. Pray every time a craving hit and give it to God, that and my fur babies are the only way I healed from a Crack addiction. Yes I mean healed no cravings. I am on this app now because I married a man who drinks every day and I started drinking because I could not stand a drunk with out being the same. Bad move on my part but I am on the path out of Alcohol no after 10 years of it. You got this babe but you need Help from Heaven.

There’s a program offered through Internal Health that offers addiction programs. It allows you to stay home with your pet but you have to be accountable 4 days a week for 7 weeks. If that is something you can do, I would highly recommend it. It’s free.

Sober friends! The number 1 thing that has kept me going.
