“Fighting to stay good, I see”

Time to lose that “friend”

I agree. I just need to not reply. I don’t ever reach out to him and I get a drunk text a couple times a month. No thanks mate! :v: Wish him all the best.

Ps that sounds like a nice and fulfilling busy day

Thanks! It was.

It’s not what you say… it’s how you say it. That seems to be the main issue here. “Fighting to stay good,” just didn’t sit right with you. People who aren’t seeing things the way we see them or have never tried to get sober themselves (if they are alcoholics/addicts) have no idea how hard the struggle really is at times. The adjustments to everyday life is crucial. Something as little as making your bed is a HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT… All i can really say to this is that you will soon know exactly who to keep around and who to cut out. If an individual no longer serves a purpose in your life then it’s time. If it’s constant negativity or comments that trigger you from a certain person then it’s best to leave it be. You got this girl… you know your living your best life and whoever wants to do the same can ride with you! Ppl are insensitive to the whole subject of sobriety and have no clue what it takes to fight the fight. Stay true babe :muscle:t2:

Thanks for your words! I feel the exact same way. This person isn’t really “in” my life. They text me randomly to check in, when in reality is them being drunk and actually remembering me. Lol Funny how that works as ironic as it is! Maybe a boredom thing on their end when they are scrolling their phone and chugging a beer. I enjoy being sober and being able to do things without altering my mind in one way or another. I don’t need it to make me happy or to drown my sorrows. And like you said, some people will just never get it. And that’s ok. You keep going too! We all got this. :innocent:

Oh yeah I get it. Sobriety brings so much to light. We know what we need and what our life consists of now and when those ppl decide to text or call us randomly it’s usually always “what we used to have in common” right? Now our life is different and sometimes we just don’t have anything in common anymore. :woman_shrugging:t2: In my life atleast… all those years of drinking and drugging with those ppl and we decide to choose a different path… it just isn’t the same anymore. I seemed to have inspired some of them along the way to better themselves and also had to say no to A LOt OF social things because “i know me” and i know the environment. So it is what it is and just keep doin you! We may be “fighting to stay good” but atleast we live an honest life now and continue to grow instead of stay stuck. :green_heart::muscle:t2::raised_hands:t3:

Amen! I love it! And I’m happy for you as well! So much better now days. That is for sure! We definitely need more sober folks though. Lol

Fighting to stay good again today, I see Katie!:rofl:

Keep doing you, sounds like you've got a good handle on living a fulfilling sober life.

We can't control others so when it comes to that I just remind myself.. Some will, Some won't.. So what.

The only thing I’m fighting today is trying to forget the dream I had last night! :joy:
