envelopes. Some include gas, groceries, eating out, rent, tattoo saving, and whatever else that’s important to you
Build a excel with all your expenses. I mean ALL. From every streaming channel to your daily Starbucks. Then put in your income and see what you are bringing in vs spending. Once you see how much you spend on certain things it’ll motivate you to cut some expenses. I’ve helped many friends bring their credit scores up, get rid of debt and build savings. Biggest tip is living below your means. Bought my house when I was making 2/3 of what I make now, but resisted the urge to upgrade. I get certified preowned cars. Buy quality used furniture. Don’t gamble. Don’t buy luxury brands (but do buy quality). Repair rather than replace.
Set up a automatic deposit into brokerage acct which invests in sp500. Dont touch it for years. Watch it grow
This is the most sound advice to me. I bought my house when I was making more than I make now, and if I had spent more back then, I would not be able to swing it today.

I make my instant ice coffee at home instead of buying out or buying an energy drink. The savings add up pretty quick
