How do you manage to save more money? Any small or beneficial financial tips? Goals big and small are helpful thank you
Sure. Although the markets are down, I would recommend starting an account with a company like vanguard and purchasing index funds. Then automate your savings inputs. Over time, these can grow considerably. Or…. purchase a lottery ticket and cross your fingers.
Create a budget and get rid of any extras that you think you need but you don’t. Stop eating out if you do.
You can either save whats left after spending, or spend whats left after saving. And if your income is consistent or high enough. Put whats left in checking into savings the night before each new paycheck.
If you are a coffee drinker make your own. Don’t eat out much. Drink water. 48 hr rule on bigger purchases. Meaning if you have an impulse to buy something wait 48 hrs. If you still find it necessary after that then get it
An automatic transfer to a savings account helps.
What’s that?
I went and got a budget box off of Etsy because I have a dirty habit of even if it is in a savings account I will move it to my card and use it and this way I have to actually open my budget box go in to a labeled money folder, and guilt trip myself on if I really need that money or not
I am 30 years old and that is literally the only way that I can save money
The 50,30,20 method is for people who are learning how to save! Best method I know of
I posted about some financial anxiety. Currently reading Rich Dad Poor Dad. Make your own oat milk or coconut milk, they charge way too much for it. If you’ve got spare time and a college degree try side hustling on a tutoring platform.
Check out Ramsey Solutions and his baby steps. Free app with free info and very informative podcasts going over everything finances. He also has a budgeting app that’s very helpful.
Google Financial Peace University. Step program for financial security. Good stuff.
Budgets can be kinda hard to start. So start writing down what you spend for 2 months. Bills included.
Don’t spend $1k or $2k per month on drugs and alcohol. That’s what I did. Now I’m paying off debt rather than racking it up.
I love this!
Good
Also, if you need a service done. Light plumbing, car maintenance. Basic household repairs. Dont be afraid to research and youtube it. The amount of times I've had to charge people a couple hundred for a repair they couldve learned to do in 15 mins is astounding. (Company rates, I dont set the prices) But be safe. Don't play with gas, electricity, or chemicals unless youre properly trained.
Ok
