Fired and wired

Well. I was fired from my job yesterday and relapsed. Decided to add on a little :snowman_with_snow: too. I’m upset and I know once I sober up I’ll be severely disappointed in myself. It’s the 2nd time in 5 months I’ve been fired, so I ask myself why does this keep happening to me?

I'm sorry to read this... but it's never too late to change things around.
The truth may hurt, but fooling yourself will enslave you... as they say; honesty is the best policy, but when it comes to ourselves, it's often the hardest

I don’t know. Just a vague reasoning like I wasn’t putting forth my best effort, I wasn’t grasping the training…

My comment was extremely inconsiderate as I misread your post. I hope the next job opportunity presents itself well. As for the relapse, tomorrow is a new. As much as I sometimes feel like breaking, I have never been broken. If I have survived every bad thing that's ever happened to me, then doesnt that mean that I will keep surviving them? Never shall you fall from your throne 🩶

Keep your chin up, Sis. Sometimes folks get let go due to a company’s requirements to maintain the status quo for the super eager earners at the top. Maybe look into a company that values all of its employees vs. just making a Buck. I suggest reading What Color is Your Parachute. And create a battle plan for if something like getting fired or some other depressing scenario happens, that instead of running into the arms of relapse, you’re gonna go: watch a comedy, go for a hike with friends, create some art, treat yourself to a massage/spa, go to a dog park, go for a jog, etc. Can’t just sweep the floor when it’s dirty; gotta sweep every day. :metal:

Please pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try to find your place in the world. Do you have a support group? A support group are people in recovery who you can call when things get tough. We don't want to get loaded and relapse when things get difficult.
