First Christmas Day Sober in 15 years

Yesterday felt great to remain in the present. I wasn't tempted all day until last night. My well meaning friend was drunk and shoved a cup of mulled wine under my nose. I said no so many times last night and I almost said yes just to shut her up. I'm proud that I didn't. I woke up with a clear mind and no regrets. :hugs:

I would have thrown her out. :upside_down_face: That’s just me.

I was at her house. I left and walked home  I always have an out.

Good for you having that out. Maybe you need a new “friend” if that’s her normal way

Glad you felt great most of the day. Always remember to put your sobriety first. Great job!

Great job and especially keeping your calm and not throwing her put

Friend?
Yesterday you chose to stay sober(good work)
Yesterday you chose to leave a trigger spot and situation and person.
(Goodwork)
For me in this job called recovery I found it very easy to eliminate anyone or thing that didn't support my recovery. Without drugs and alcohol how many of my (friends) were really friends? I have 5 friends now and an innumerable amount of really good acquaintances. Those 5 though would stop me from going into harms way or take care of my family if I couldn't. The acquaintances would post each other on f.b. and and make it about them.
Congratulations on yesterday. :+1:
