Congrats! You took the first and hardest step towards a better quality of like with purpose!! Great support here in our little village!! Love it ! Hope you do too!!

That was supposed to say life not like !:woman_facepalming::joy:

Why don’t you have access to meetings?

My job driving a truck

Good luck on your journey.

Do you not have any down time? I go to meetings when I travel for work. I go to meetings when I travel for pleasure. The AA meeting guide app helps for that. Out of town meetings are fun.

Meetings on the road must be tough. Have you tried any of the zoom meetings?

You should be so proud of yourself❤ you got this my friend🙌

I understand...I have tried so many times but you keep trying there is strength in that. I also understand being a trucker it's got to be hard to get to meetings I used to work at a truck gate and I know quite a few drivers pretty well and I know it's tough hang in there all we can do is keep trying

I’m not a trucker but I drive a lot. I listen to the sober stories from this app or I listen to recorded speaker meetings off YouTube. I’ve joined zoom meetings with audio only. If theses a will, there’s a way.

When the desire to not drink becomes greater than the desire to drink, you’ll stop at nothing to get and stay in recovery.

Thank you.

I’m with Craig…he gave you some great suggestions. Technology is both a curse and a blessing. Use it as a blessing my friend. There are tons of recovery oriented podcasts, meetings, books, etc that you can listen to while you are driving. I turned off the sports talk, classic rock, and politics, and now listen to recovery/mental health materials on my drive time. f you can’t physically make it to a meeting like Shawn suggested above, there are zoom meetings 24 hours a day. As others have said, you can do this. You are here asking for help, so you must want it. I hope you take the suggestions and find the help you need :peace_symbol:

I wish the best for you. I believe you can do it. There are meetings on zoom

Get the aa meeting app.when you stop on weekends.get on the app .put in the state where you are at. Call the intergroup they may have someone come and get you.or some times you can walk to meetings.if they are close. ( we can not drive after we are done for the day.that is why it is so hard.)

We have to have some one come pick use up.that is going to the meetings.

Or cab or Uber.
