Good on you for recognizing this now instead of in 5 or 10 years later. You're young, and you have everything inside of you today that you need today to change.

Frankie.. Happy birthday. I commend you for your first day. Dude at 21 you're way ahead of the curve. I got sober when I was 25 way back in 1988 (you weren't even born). I stayed the course and here we are some 35+ years later. If I can do it so can you.
Here is something to ponder. At 21 years old, if you stay sober, by the time you turn 42 you will be sober half your life. Think about that. Not to many people can make that claim. If that does not motivate you I don't know what will.
