First Flight

Last Saturday I flew for the first time sober. I was concerned because airport drinking was a given. Leaving Tampa airport was a challenge and the flight delay also meant more airport time. I watched the person next to me drink Patron on ice. I could smell it. :grimacing:. I held my ground. I post this because I know others may have to get on a plane at some point. You got this! I made it thru.
I /we do this day by day. Glad I could share a positive outcome :desert_island:

If you are in an airport and feeling the urge and need to talk to someone, go to a gate and ask them to page β€œfriends of Bill W.” To the gate. Others in the program will know and come help you out. And it does work!

The thing to remember is that we always have the choice to drink, even when it's not infront of us, so when it does appear in front of us, it's just an opportunity to affirm our ongoing choice to not drink.
