Tonight I shared for the first time in a meeting and it kinda sucked. I get super nervous when speaking to groups unless it’s a prepared statement. My voice shuck. I hope I made some sense. But I did it. I know the next time will be a little easier, and the time after will be even easier. Thankful for AA’s culture of acceptance and non-judgement. That’s all I got

I mostly cried and mumbled for the first couple weeks 
they were super great to me also. They said… keep coming back… we will love you until you can love yourself and held true to their word.

AA is the only place I've ever been where the people actually listen to you instead of just waiting for you to stop talking so they can talk.
Keep sharing, it gets easier and remember that your shares might help someone else.
