Firstly I am not in crisis.
Just some thoughts.
Staying single in early sobriety or becoming single offers a safe space to focus on personal healing.
Though it can also bring moments of loneliness.
It may also stop codependent patterns and build self-reliance instead of looking for external validation from others.
Solitude is not about being without others; it’s about being with yourself. Loneliness, and isolation, is the pain of being alone. Solitude is the joy of being alone.
On the flip side, solitude is a conscious choice. It’s a peaceful, reflective time alone that nurtures your inner world. Isolation is often rooted in avoidance. It’s a withdrawal from connection, motivated by fear, shame, depression.
Being alone is a physical state of being by yourself, while loneliness is a painful emotional feeling of disconnection or emptiness.

Well said!
Thanks. It's more about what we feel than what we say. Happy Trails.

Fantastic post. I really connected with this. Thanks for your thoughts!
Thanks for these reflections on times of solitude and loneliness. Recovering from co-dependency has been a part of my sobriety journey as well
